Even though my children are teenagers, I can’t bear to throw away any of their Christmas books. They are stored in the trunk with the decorations and all the little Christmassy things they have made over the years. Another Christmas version of a brilliant book, this time it’s The Jolly Postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. There’s so many little surprise letters and cards to find and open. Suitable for ages 3-5.
That’s Not My Reindeer By Fiona Watt
The ‘That’s Not My’ books are hugely popular. This is the Reindeer version with a cute cuddly toy. A nice Christmas gift.

This is quite a traditional Christmas tale which might remind you of older books. It’s charming and beautifully illustrated by Emily Sutton. Tells the story of an ugly little fir tree who becomes the centre of a magical Christmas Eve. For ages 5-7 years.
