The New Mini Micro Scooter
The new Mini Micro Scooter Deluxe is suitable for children aged 2-5 years.
A staple of the school run, the fantastic little Swiss-made Micro Scooters came over to the UK in 2005 courtesy of some very enterprising mums. Now there’s a huge range of styles for ages 12 months to adult including balance bikes and stunt scooters. My children had them for years and they were always solid and reliable.

The latest product is the Mini Micro Deluxe Scooter in a range of five jazzy colours. I’d urge you to read the reviews on Amazon because you hardly ever read anything negative about this brand.
The great thing about the Mini Micro Deluxe Scooter is that the handle height is adjustable to suit ages 2-5 years. Additionally, it features a protective anodised stem to keep it looking smart and a unique deck with rasied silicone micro grip.
According to the BBC (sourced 14/3/2017), the obsession of many young children to scoot is affecting the way the cost of living is calculated in the UK because children’s scooters have been added to the basket of goods used to measure the UK’s inflation rate. It has replaced the swing in this basket according to the Office for National Statistics.
Of course, it’s great exercise too. When mine were younger, I used to have great trouble encouraging them to walk anywhere but if the scooter came out, they were raring to go!
