How are the Toys of the Year selected?
The Toy Industry Awards – which are presented by the British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) and the Toy Retailers Association (TRA) – are announced on the first day of London Toy Fair which takes place in London.
The Toys of the Year make great presents
This selection of toys of the year for last year, make great presents this year. Many of the selected toys were ‘must have’ toys at Christmas and can be found at reduced prices in 2022. There are some new toys and brands on this list, for example Cocomelon is a new brand connecting with the series for pre-schoolers, and Magic Mixies which was very popular at Christmas.
However, many of these toys are part of long-standing brands such as LOL Surprise, Harry Potter and Paw Patrol. Fans of these will be delighted with new toys to add to their collections and extend their interest.
The Toys of the Year awards includes toys from across the price range so there is a toy for every pocket and occasion.
